DISNEY DINING

BEST USE OF DISNEY SNACK CREDITS πŸ˜›

As an avid snacker, this is my favourite part of the Disney meal plan. Some days the meal plan can be so filling I end up with a bunch of extra credits at the end of my trip. Did you know you can purchase packaged candies or snacks in the disney shops with your credits and pack them for your flight home! There’s so much you can do with your credits beyond just grabbing a mickey ice cream bar. I’ve put together a list to help you make the most out of your Disney snack credits.

SNACK CREDITS AT STARBUCKS

I’m not a morning person at home and I hate to admit no magic in the world can make me a morning person in DisneyWorld either. I like to start my mornings in the park by using a snack credit at Starbucks. A lot of people don’t know that Starbucks participates in the meal plan and almost everything on the menu is included as a snack.

If you are just grabbing a coffee this won’t be your best value but if you are into the specialty drinks, you’re in luck! All the frappuccinos, lattes and fancy drinks you can think of are available with a snack credit ! You can also add whip cream, flavour shots or extra toppings to your drink for free. These drinks can get up to 8 or 9$, so it’s a great use of one credit!

CUPCAKES!

I’m not sure if it’s actually the taste of these cupcakes or just how cute they are that really draws me in. Either way, I’m not leaving the park without one. It can be a little bit painful to shell out 6$ for a single cupcake but with a snack credit, it’s well worth it! If you’re in Magic Kingdom, The Confectionary has a great selection of fantasy themed cupcakes. My next suggestion would be Sunshine Seasons in Epcot. How cute is this Soarin cupcake.

ANIMAL KINGDOM SNACK STANDS

If you’ve read some of my other blog posts you’ll know I love my AK. As awesome as the rides are , the snacks here are just as good! When you’re craving something on the savoury or spicy side, Animal Kingdom has the best selection.

I should also mention you can find FRESH FRUIT at Harambe’s fruit market. Here you can also find a twist on the classic mickey pretzel, a jalapeno cheese stuffed goodness!

Next, head over to Flame Tree Barbecue and order the french fries with pulled pork and cheese. Why use your Disney snack credits on regular fries when you can try them fully loaded for ONE CREDIT! Being from Canada I am always looking for something comparable to poutine and this tops the list of alternatives!

CANDY APPLES

Disney World makes the CUTEST candy apples. I’ve been known to use a few of my Disney snack credits on my last day and bring a couple home as souvenirs for friends. You can ask for a box and they surprisingly held up fine on my journey home. You can fine the adorable monkey & elephant shaped apples in Africa Animal Kingdom. Looking for those sparkly Mickey and Minnie shaped apples? Those are located at The Confectionary on Main St, Magic Kingdom.

DOLE WHIP FLOATS

You have obviously heard all the hype about Dole Whip. The frozen pineapple treat everyone raves about. But have you explored the other flavours!? Take a break at Aloha Isle in Adventureland and try the Raspberry Swirl Float. If you’re looking for an even better bang for your buck go with the pineapple upside down cake featured below. This is a 7$ treat you can have for just one snack credit.
